The Eco-Tech difference

Never trust the company that profits from the problem.

Most “free mold inspections” come from remediation companies — the more mold they find, the more work they sell you. We do the opposite.

Eco-Tech is testing-only. We don’t sell remediation, so we have no incentive to over- or under-report. In fact, New York State law prohibits one company from both testing and remediating the same project. You get the truth — and a report you can hand to any contractor.

  • Remediation company

Finds mold → sells you the cleanup. The inspection is a sales call.

  • Eco-Tech

Tests, documents, and hands you objective lab data. We never sell remediation — ever.

Our process

Four clear steps, start to clearance

  1. 01

    Consultation & Assessment

Certified inspectors start with a detailed consultation to understand your concerns and property history, then evaluate with moisture meters, air samplers, and thermal imaging — non-invasive throughout.

  2. 02

    Sampling & Lab Analysis

We collect air and surface samples from targeted areas plus an outdoor baseline for comparison. Samples are analyzed by AIHA-accredited laboratories.

  3. 03

    Reporting & Results

Soon after, you receive a detailed report combining lab results with our on-site findings: mold levels, contamination sources, and actionable recommendations.

  4. 04

    Clearance Verification

After remediation by a separate contractor, we return for independent clearance testing to confirm the work was done right — protecting your health and property.

Common questions

Answers before you book

Still unsure whether you need testing? These are the questions we hear most.

See all FAQs
Do I need testing if I can’t see mold?

Yes — mold often hides behind walls, under floors, and in HVAC systems, invisible to the eye. Testing detects what a visual check can’t.

When should I test for mold?

Test when visible mold appears, when you suspect mold from allergy symptoms or musty odors, after water damage, flooding, sewage backups or ice dams, or during a property transaction. Professional inspection ensures dependable findings.

Is all black mold toxic?

Not all dark mold is toxic, though toxic types pose serious health risks. All mold can trigger health concerns — particularly for those with allergies. Only scientific testing by qualified professionals determines the actual hazard.

How long until I get results?

Verbal results are available rapidly, with a detailed written report delivered shortly after.

How much does mold testing cost?

Mold testing cost depends on the size of the property and how many samples are needed for an accurate result. We give you a clear, upfront quote before any work begins — and because we’re a testing-only company, you’ll never be upsold remediation you don’t need. Call (844) 332-6832 for a fast estimate.

Will insurance cover the cost of mold testing?

Coverage depends on your provider and policy. Contact your insurer to confirm whether mold assessment and remediation are covered. Our reports provide the documentation carriers typically require.
